Booglemonster's Lair

David I. Crowley

David I. CrowleyI graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine in May 2004. Erin and I packed up our little apartment in Salt Lake City, UT and moved all the way across the country. Again.

Exodus log

  • From Salt Lake City to Boston/Cambridge for college in 1994
  • Back and forth, Boston to SLC to DR to SLC to Boston, when I served a mission in the Dominican Republic from 1995-1997
  • Back to Cambridge in 1997
  • Couple short moves in the greater Boston area in 1999 when I married Girglemonster in 1999
  • Boston to Salt Lake City in 2000 for med school
  • Salt Lake City to Portland, ME for residency 2004-2007
  • Next? To Cincinnati Children's Hospital for fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiology

Where I am now

I matched at The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. It is a three year general pediatric residency training program (to become a "board certified Pediatrician").

Next, it's off to a fellowship program for Pediatric Cardiology for another 3+ years (so I can become a "board certified Pediatric Cardiologist").

Let's see. That's 3 years of college (I graduated early from Harvard, but it was spread out over 5 years due to serving a 2-year mission), plus 4 years of med school, plus 3 years of residency, plus 3-4 years of fellowship. That will be 15 years out of high school, and just finishing training. One of these days, I'll start making a little money so I can pay off the med school debt...

How I spend my free time

As you can see, I'm totally a geek. In my free time, I program websites, like this one. I blame it [being such a computer geek] mostly on Girglemonster. But I am very glad she introduced me to the world wide web. Here's some of the stuff I've created since she got me hooked on the web:

UMED
TestFiles
MSIG
Primary Workup
Spanish Verb Conjugation Quiz
